Sadness went away pretty quickly. Then I have some righteous anger. Mostly I laughed about it as I told people the evil thoughts running through my head. I used a lot of violent phrases I learned in the Navy.

It was a lot of fun.

I drank a Guinness and bought several drinks for Sweeties.

Rehearsal went well, pictures up tomorrow. Bed soon.

Love.

And, go to the damn introduction on August 5. Let me know if you are going.

Once upon a time, there was Geo Metro. It was pretty. It came with 165/65R13 tires. When they wear out, I tried to buy new ones. Oops. Nobody made that size anymore.

The suggested replacement was 165/70R13 tires.

Nobody makes them anymore. The new suggested replacement is 175/70R13.

Do you suppose the reason some many cars are jacked up with oversize tires is because manufacturers keep discontinuing the original size?

And, they are $40 a piece. Oh well.

just how much the handling improves when one goes from bald, shitty tires to brand new tires. The Geo handles like it was new instead of a half flooded, flat-bottomed barge.

Too bad it cost more than I wanted for tires.

I hate bait and switch... especially when one can't prove it.

The Honda will be collected on Thursday morning.

$120. That's it. That sucks.

Around here, it would have sold for $1,000 in the condition it was in.

I've now learned quite a bit about the BSD firewall system. I'm impressed.
This is tech stuff )

I just notice that the broken link has finally moved off my friends page. it's not much, but I could use something going my way for a change. :)

Worked wonders. :)

When I was younger, so much younger than today (random Beatles moment brought to you by the flavor Strawberry), I really hated humanity. Each and every one of us. That is a rare feeling these days.

In those days, I never people watched except for being alert to any possible (or impossible) threat (much like George W. Bush).

Tonight, I watched. I watched the servers and cook at the local Denney's and I watched customers. I could see, by how they were acting, what was going on with them. Some were on autopilot (like the server who brought a second cup of coffee to me).

Some were on full alert (like the young woman sitting a couple of booths away. She couldn't stop looking around in a secret sort of way.

Some were having out of body experiences -- the lights were on but nobody was home.

It made me feel good. Not that I was thinking I was any better, but because I'm just the same. That was good.
