Worked wonders. :)

When I was younger, so much younger than today (random Beatles moment brought to you by the flavor Strawberry), I really hated humanity. Each and every one of us. That is a rare feeling these days.

In those days, I never people watched except for being alert to any possible (or impossible) threat (much like George W. Bush).

Tonight, I watched. I watched the servers and cook at the local Denney's and I watched customers. I could see, by how they were acting, what was going on with them. Some were on autopilot (like the server who brought a second cup of coffee to me).

Some were on full alert (like the young woman sitting a couple of booths away. She couldn't stop looking around in a secret sort of way.

Some were having out of body experiences -- the lights were on but nobody was home.

It made me feel good. Not that I was thinking I was any better, but because I'm just the same. That was good.
