All my life I've heard variations on "You want to learn something really well? Teach it." I have never found an intellectual discipline in which that concept didn't apply.

From personal experience, I know that the degree of preparation is directly proportional to the ease and grace one has in speaking to a group. If we don't consider ourselves subject matter experts doubt and nervousness shows up. The less prepared we feel, the more nervous.

It's the looking good game.

Being comfortable with the phrase/sentence, "I don't know" can go a long way in dealing with the fear of public speaking.

Love.

It is what give me the juice to make the most of the hyphen. That little symbol that denotes one's entire life. The small line between birth and death of one's headstone. As scary as it sometimes is, I take responsibility for the life around me. I am cause in the matter of my life. Bring it on!
