The count down begins. In about half an hour, Scix and I leave for Encinitas again today. The rehearsal went really well.

It would have been better if all the Sexy Lighting Bitch were there, but we will manage with some preshow training, I think.

The players found the bottle necks -- getting on and off stage en masse quickly enough for the rapid fire scene changes.

Some of the time, character dialog is not accompanied by player movement in the movie. Works for the movie, not for the live actors.

Kate really rocks as Mrs. Broflovski, Kyle's mom. She brings a lot of life to the animated "Bitch." Other players of note at rehearsal: Jeremy, Amy J, Geoff ( Saddam's "I can change" number!), Amanda K (La Resistance flag pratfall), Scix (M' Kay).

The costumes are smashing -- new bits at rehearsal: Afterlife dancers! A "kick the baby" version of Ike. Big Gay Al and his back up dancers.

Preshow fun sounds like fun, too.

Amy B. -- director. Wow. Just Wow.
Amanda R. -- Choreographer. Creativity and magic! Matching performable choreography to the movie and teaching the cast to actually dance!
Nicole -- Stage Manager. Extraordinary presence and planning.
Kim -- Costumes and Dead Kenny. Just Wow.
Amy J. -- Producer. We normally don't have a producer, but that is the role that Amy filled without the title. Interaction with the theater. Prop bags wizard. Operator of the cast cattle prod.

I mentioned to Scix on the way home from rehearsal that we aren't perfect in the shows we do, but we have a lot of fun. And there is nothing amateurish about what we do. This is an excellent crowd of people.

I am excited and nervous.

I love theater. No, really. This counts.
