sigh.

My household moved about 8 blocks. When I made arrangements with SBC California (Pacific Bell) to move my business line and my business DSL from the old address to the new address, I made sure that I could keep the same IP block. They assured me that I could and would. 5 static IP addresses that the DNS system points at for primary and secondary name serving for several domains.

Finally got to talk to someone on the phone about my DSL cause it isn't working. Not only did I not keep my original five, they changed my service so that I have ONE IP and even that one isn't working.

I could just SCREAM.

I have fired off a email. I got the same automated replay three times.

I really hate the phone company.

Kick 'em in the cherries!
Assuming, of course, that they love cherries, and without said cherries their lives would just not be complete.
They REALLY love cherries.

The same thing happened when Radhouse moved last. The phone company assured us we could keep the same number, but once we moved, we found that we had phone service but it wasn't the same number. Took almost a week to get them to tell us what the new number was.

Not in Roadrunner's service area. Not 5 static IP addresses. Not interested in having a server get clogged by a neighbor downloaded every copy of buffy and angel.

All ready have cable internet for regular connection to the world.
