Bill Clinton goes to N. Korea and comes home with two pardoned journalists. The news is making a big deal of this. And in some diplomatic ways, it is a big deal. In some ways it is a crock. Here are the ways I am unhappy with the whole incident of these two journalists.
1. They entered N. Korea illegally. The Country is run by crazy people. What were those two people thinking?
2. The two journalists work for Bill's old VP. I wonder what would have become of the two had they worked for Fox News or Christian Science Monitor? Would Bill have hopped on a plane?
3. The American Law and Order crowd has been very quiet about all this. I guess it's only a bad thing when people sneak across OUR border.
Yes. a dozen years in any prison would really suck. Next time, Journalist # 1 and Journalist #2, consider abiding by the local laws. Really. And I don't give a damn what your motives were. I don't care how noble you thought your cause. If you can't do the time; don't do the crime.
