I down loaded ubuntu 8.04. and tested it out. It is really cool. I mean it is great.

Bleeding edge versions of firefox and openoffice. Both versions fixed some really annoying bugs. Especially firefox.

Many other applications that I haven't used or rarely use are the apps of choice for ubuntu. It was all seamless.

For anyone interested in trying out linux for the first time, I strongly suggest getting a unbuntu cd and booting up to it. It is simple and intuitive. Really very, very nice.

From the ubuntu website, I learned about win4liln. $30 for personal use with ubuntu and $50 for other distributions and commercial use. It runs XP as a linux application in a window. They claim they run all the major software for XP and most everything else. I'm going to buy it and see. If so, that will be exciting.

We might be seeing the end of XP at CreditLink. Really exciting!
