The Ophthalmology clinic screwed up my appointment so that I've been delayed seeing a cornea expert. I did, though, get a bit more information. It seems that the Hospital knew I had cataracts five years ago. They just didn't tell me.
The cornea expert is going to make his best guess about which issue is most affecting my vision and what course of action we should pursue. Cataract surgery often makes the dystrophy worse, though. So it might be cataract surgery combined with a cornea transplant for my right eye. My left eye is worse but it has no chance of being very useful in any event.
Now I wait. December 4th, I'll see the expert.
Then there will be more to talk about.

Also, holy crap. I figured out the invoicing system. Steph's been trying to tell me but I didn't get it until we just got home and my brain was randomly churning numbers. I'll tell you on Monday - but the person that was inept? They weren't inept - they just didn't see what took Steph and I a few months of staring intently at this stuff to figure out.
