I'm itching to finish one and start another yard project. There is still one on hold 'cause Stacey isn't sure what she wants to do with the strip of grass on the left side of the drive way. She is mumbling about paving it all in. That's okay. But it means moving about 10 yards of dirt. Maybe more.

The only inexpensive way to deal with that is to move the dirt to some other place in the yard. The only place it could go is the expanse of lawn on the right side of the driveway. We could go along way toward leveling that side of the yard. But that means a wall. And that isn't cheap.

I want to build a wall. But it will be a couple of grand in material and day laborers. At least a couple of grand. That, too, is okay, but the plan has changed every week since it first came up. and it came up because the tree in the front yard has to come out.

Originally it had to come out because it was threatening the foundation/slab of the house. Turns out, though, that the tree is sickly and probably won't survive anyway. Dead trees near houses are a danger, too.

Stacey isn't willing to get rid of the tree until we have a plan ready to go.

Round and round we go. Where we stop.....

too bad you can't build the wall out of the tree. :)
