Last night's show was great. We had a guest cast member from up north for Riff. His costume was great, his energy was great.
We had a big audience -- 150 or so -- probably half of whom were virgins. That means many haven't heard the call backs. I heard much audience laughter throughout the show.
I ran the lighting control board. It's simpler than the spotlight. There are long stretches with nothing to do. However, the view from the tech balcony is wonderful.
Many transylvanians doing the time warp. It looks awesome when we have a big line in front of the stage for Time Warp. It adds a lot to that number. And it is fun! I really like being a Trannie.
I will learn Crim and Dr. Scott. There are times, like last night, when substitutions need to be made. It would be good to be available to role swapping if necessary. Bish was last night's Brad until his bit of "Over at the Frankenstein Place. A trick knee knocked him out of the show. It was okay at the end, but we got to scramble around to make it work.
Crazed Imaginations is a terrific group. It isn't just that we are dedicatied to putting on an entertaining show and having fun. There is an atmosphere of intentional family around the place.
I offer this as one example. After the show, we have a cast huddle. People are thanked for their various bits of hard work and quick thinking. Most importantly, we cast the next show. Our cast director reads the roles in order and people shout their names. Fasted wins. Squeak was first in for Columbia -- a role he loves to play. Later Chrys was first in for a role but lost it to a forgotten request from an absent member. Squeak gave Chrys his Columbia slot. That is a level of generous being that is alovie and well in this cast. I am often inspired by it.
Next lingerie night is Valentine's Day! Is that not the best!
