I'm getting into the habit of creating detailed plans of upcoming projects and scheduling completion for each aspect of a given project. I spent a couple of hours today updating my to-do (the one on my laptop) list with these details.

Then I cleared the to-do list on my palm pilot so that I could get a clean load.

But it didn't wok. Nope. When I sync my palm pilot with my laptop, the to-dos on my my palm move to my laptop but not the other way. It's a bug in the sync software on my laptop.

Now I am busy upgrading the software on my laptop to see if that will take care of it. I don't think it will, though. I think I have to compile the sync software from source to get a to-do list conduit that isn't broken. ( I have a bit of research to do on that, though.

I've encountered this twice before. It has been a while but at least in my case there was a setting that gave either the computer or the PDA precedence when there were discrepancies between databases.

Since there are many Palm for Desktop versions and variations this may not be the case with you. Just a thought.
