No, not the kind that is focused on cleaning. The kind that is focused on building and remodeling.

A carpenter that Stacey has used before has been to the house a couple of times this week. He's going to fix the ceiling damaged in the water leak. He hasn't actually done the work because we are considering spending a lot of money.

It turns out that the master bedroom floor joist run in the correct direction for adding a balcony. Donovan is drawing up plans so he can give us an estimate. I think it will be a lot more money than I'd be comfortable spending. We will see.

We have pretty much decided on the lighting for the living room. That project is now high on my list.

We are going to bring the gas line for a new stove in from outside rather than tap the line going to the fireplace. It will be easier. So that one has also fallen to me.

The rest of February is tied up in the computer project, but March is looking good for finishing the currently started projects and getting a couple of new ones started.

Lynn, have you ever been to Sacramento, and if so, what was it like? I mean...was it cool?

I lived there for a couple of years. My mother and brother lived there for many years and my sister lives 40 miles from there.

I don't know much about it now, but for years it was an economically depressed region. It has it's fair share and more of rednecks and right-wingers. For a big city, it has a small town feel -- only with more traffic than should be allowed. If the state capitol wasn't there, it would have dried up and blown away many years ago.

It is HOT, HOT, HOT in the summer and cool to cold in the winter. Lots of rain in the winter along with thunderstorms. It is in California's central valley.

It always seems to be a long way to anywhere you want to go. Partly because it is spread out. There are a dozen or more "towns" around Sacramento proper.

It's a couple of hours to San Francisco, though. That's a plus.

Why? Thinking about moving there? Rent will be cheaper, I think. They do have coffee shops. They do have internet connectivity.

Love.

I'm not thinking about moving there, I uh...have to decide whether I'm moving there or not. LLP got office space up there, they're changing my job and it's description, and well...they want me to relocate. They're still working on the job description and duties and getting that finalized, it'll be a few months - but Pat (new president) had a meeting with me today to tell me they want me to move up there - they're giving me time to think about it, and they aren't going to actively advertise the position because they really want me to go. If I say no, then they'll find someone else I guess. I don't...really know Sacramento at all or if it's someplace I want to live, I really LIKE it here. >.< So I'm asking around to see if people know what it's like, and Steph and I are thinking of making a road trip to look at the area anyway.
