The circuit breakers I need are made by a company that went out of business. After much chasing around, though, I found out that another company bought them and makes a replacement. But nobody in San Diego carries the new brand either. Great.
Then I found San Diego Electric which carries odds and ends including used and surplus breakers and THEY HAVE THEM!!!
And they are EXPENSIVE. I think I'll be swapping out the innards of the breaker box sometime late in 2006. It's a bitch of a job. And when I do it, I'll do it right. We will check every outlet and lighting circuit in the house so that we know what each breaker does. I'll be happy about that!
