Pack rats are interesting creatures. Especially the two legged ones.

Stacey saves anything that might have sentimental value to someone someday. Boxes and boxes of stuff about and by her kids. Far more than the normal kind of saving to show and embarrass an offspring about thirty or more years hence.

Stacey, though, is an organized pack rat. She more or less knows what she has and can find any of it pretty quickly. I am repeatedly amazed by her skill at keeping her database intact.

Alex, Stacey's eldest, is also a pack rat. Far less skilled though! In going through boxes in the garage to make some sense of what the kids have stored out there, we have come across several boxes filled with trash. Nothing of any value -- sentimental or otherwise.

To be fair to Kate, her boxes of trash weren't here direct doing. She didn't prepare her room for the carpet layers or painters. That means that Stacey and I went in with shovels and dumped everything into boxes. Thirty years from now, those boxes are going to really embarrass Kate. Especially if she has a daughter who won't clean her room. ;)

A morning's work. Next, Rachel must go through the sports stuff today. Otherwise, it will end up in a very big box that shan't be seen for many years. Either that or Stacey decides to get ruthless and we donate a ton of gloves, balls, skates, pads, rackets, etc. to a boy's and girl's club.

Love.
