Brand new Dell computer. It's wonderful. I blew up the operating system. Dell is sending an install disk (which doesn't come with the computer).
When I had Linux (SuSE 9.1) repartition the hard drive, Windows XP went nuts.
Normally, I wouldn't care at all for Windows XP. I'll almost always be fully in Linux. BUT -- and it's a big butt -- I do want the ability to use powerpoint and excel. Not that they are the best at what they do, but because I get handed powerpoint and excel files that don't translate well to OpenOffice.
Sigh. I am embarrassed. There seems to be ways to correctly partition the hard drive. Perhaps, though, I can fool Windows into thinking the drive is only 50 GB.
In other news, I think I'm going to get SuSE 9.3, since it is out. 9.1 didn't install very well and 9.2 does (according to the forums). 9.3 will probably even be better.
Love.

I never thought of you as having a big butt.
(Yes, I know that it was unworthy of me, but sometimes I simply cannot resist.)
