Bang

Just now, there was a nasty bang outside. Seems an older Firebird was turning left from Madison and was hit head on by a small, old Toyota pickup. By the time the two vehicles hit, the relative speed was low. No one is hurt (probably).

I didn't see it, but I have a pretty good theory about how it happened. The Firebird driver (a young male) was sure he had lots of time to make the turn. The pickup was going twice the speed limit.

Two old cars are now totalled. Two poor folks are even poorer.

Oh, and my hip is suggesting that I could just amputate the left leg just above the knee. :)
