A project completed. A day longer than I wanted it to take, but that's not bad considering I was getting rusty with scripting. Here's the tools that a select few will have access to for changing the content on the front page of Crazed Imaginations web site.

Front Page Administration Links

Announcements
This form will show all the announcements currently in the database. Items are retained until expressly deleted, but any item can be set to show by checking the "visible" box. Items will only show if the current date is equal to or between the start and stop dates. Items marked as "director" will display at the top of the list of announcements with a different color border and the message "From the Cast Director" at the top of the box.
Marquee
This form will show all the marquees currently in the database. Items are retained until expressly deleted, but any item can be set to show by checking the "visible" box. Each line in the text box will be a separate line in the marquee. Short lines are better than long! If more than one marquee is set to visible, random marquees will load with each page view.
Pictures
This form will show all the marquees currently in the database. Items are retained until expressly deleted, but any item can be set to show by checking the "visible" box. There are two ways to add pictures. The first way is to copy part of the URL from one of our galleries. The part to copy comes after the word "gallery" in the URL. This would be a correct example to copy "08-20-04/m_08-20-04/IMG_0024.JPG" into the form on the line that begins "gallery/". The other way is to upload a picture from your computer. Hit the browse button and select an image. It will be set to visible automatically. If you want new pictures to not show, run the script again un-checking "visible" on those images.
Quotes
This form will show all the marquees currently in the database. Items are retained until expressly deleted, but any item can be set to show by checking the "visible" box. Quotes will break wrap if you add a return in the text box. But other wrapping may occur based on browser settings.

'The next project for CI is to get the damn player history into the database. So that it is easier to EDIT a created "this week" page.

When that is complete, it will be possible to add some automatic info to bio pages about the last few roles played.

Life is really grand.
