Yesterday, I spent a lot of time debugging a few lines of very straight forward tcl code. What's worse is that it worked in my tests and didn't work when it went live. I had to rewrite several lines of code into many more lines of code to pinpoint the failure.

It was me. :)

I wrote a procedure that did one thing: opened, read and closed a text file. The data in the file was returned to a variable in the calling procedure. But I wasn't returning the data cause I forgot the "$" in front of the variable name.

"return CastList" is a lot different than "return $CastList" sigh.

Anyway, Ms. Amy now gets something she's wanted from me for a long time...

Bio links on the "the week" web page. It's not fully automated, yet. Still to many files with duplicate information. And I still don't have the parts played history working (to auto-add to the bio pages of cast).

Off to work in a few minutes. Shave and shower now.

Love.

See the movie "What the $#!$ Do we Know." It pretty accurately describes my view of the universe and my experience of daily life. Just trying on the idea that we can (and that we do) create our own realities is freeing and powerful. I have no idea if it's the "truth" and I don't really care. It works for me to believe it, so I do.

And more love. :)
