Hmmm

Crazed Imaginations bought a new digital camera last year. It takes, I think, about 300 pictures on the memory card we have. Lately, two different photographers at the show have come to me 20 minutes into the movie to tell me that the memory is full.

This should not be. Something is not right with the camera or the operators don't know how to use it. I don't either. I'll see what pictures are on it from the show last night.

Maybe I'm not getting the camera completely cleared out after each use.

Love.

camera woes

how many pictures a digicam can store on a memory card depends on the size, resolution, and compression level of the image as well. if you guys are taking high-resolution pictures in tiff format, that would eat the memory card up much faster than web-resolution images in jpg format. just as an example; not knowing anything about your camera.

Turns out the camera has different settings for the three modes. If you set the options you want, then change the mode, you get the NEW options.

I was handing the camera to people ready to go and they were turning the selector wheel from "auto" to "p" and doubling the resolution which haved the number of pictures they could take.

I have set everything so that I get small sized files. This means we can get up to 400 pictures on a card.

Yay. Beats the hell out of my Olympus digital.
