As a head coach in the SELP, a major responsibility I have to ensure that the coaches receive training to be effective as coaches.

It's an interesting dance. If I train with an eye dropper, the coaches won't feel invalidated or made wrong, but they will also not grow much. If I train with a fire hose, they will learn a lot -- maybe -- but they are also likely to feel inadequate and invalidated.

In between eye-dropper and fire hose is a point of best training. It is different for each coach and it is different for each participant.

With all the agreements of the program in place, I'll continue to error on the side of fire hose as I hone my skills at finding the point of maximum power transfer.

I think, this morning, I drenched one of my coaches. I'll know tomorrow when I have another call with her.

In the meantime, I think I'll just continue to practice LOVE. Just because.
