finally

firefox recently (after an upgrade) starting making an annoying click noise with every menu event. HATED IT. Looked around the internet and found nothing useful and a few cranky firefox developers.

This issue ONLY affects firefox on my computer, but I traced the "problem" sound back to a freedesktop.org sound theme. I killed those sounds and the annoying noise is gone.

I don't know why firefox was picking it up.
