The Mundane first.
Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion. This was my first time seeing it. I hadn't realized that it was nearly 100% different. Way to much for me to see on the two trips through. I look forward to one or two more Disneyland trips to really get the full effect of it. The Haunted Mansion is my favorite attraction at Disneyland. Kim has turned me on to Nightmare. This was all very, very good.

I seemed to have been the target of opportunity for wheel chairs. I was hit several times, once so bad I nearly fell down. Right in the Achilles tendon. It still hurts a little.

Went to California Adventure mostly to ride the roller coaster. That ranks as the best one I have ever been on. By a long shot! The most acceleration I have ever experienced. I could feel its effects hours later. In fact, I have a strong physical memory of it this morning. It has a very big loop to loop, too. I was greatly impressed. We rode the ferris wheel, too. While we were on that, we noticed the roller coaster was stopped. They had one train stopped in our view. Eventually they took the riders off. Both Joe and I thought that would have been cool! I wonder what freebies one gets if one survives a Disney breakdown?

There is a Muppet 3D thingie and a Soaring Over California thingie in that area, too. I have monocular vision, so the 3D thingie just looked odd rather than 3D. It was cute, however. People waited in line for a long, long time for Soaring. For me, it seemed like the waste of a good building. Afterward, my cohorts said the seats tilted and swooped with the film, but I didn't notice any of that. I was swinging my feet, so I might have masked that motion.

The less Mundane.
I had a dozen warm, gushy moments in the parks with these people whom I love. I only mentioned a few to them. I suspect they don't want to hear every sigh I sigh. :)

The profound.
I got to have a reasonably facsimile of a puppy pile on the way home. The backseat of Joe's car was a bit crowded. We each managed to get a bit comfortable. The middle passenger scootched down a bit in the seat then more or less wedged in the corner made of me and the seat back. I could feel her body heat on my leg and arm. I put all my mental energy into feeling it. I didn't want the sensation to just become background feeling. No, it isn't about lust or erotic thoughts -- there weren't any on my part and she was sleeping mostly. It was warm, safe and comfortable. Just snoozing in a group. Sigh.

philosophy and psychology. Very Personal. Enter at your own risk. )
The point is, I had a great, if sometimes painful, day at Disneyland and a very nice trip home. It was very good at keeping the my wolves and dragons at bay.

And tonight? Show Tunes!
