I've been playing a game called "Beneath the Steel Sky" on my Linux Box. It a puzzle/adventure game. The scripts are open source and the game engine is open source.

pdi, you mentioned almost 2 years ago, wanting to design a game. If this time works for you, we now have enough free stuff to create it. It might be fun to have a PDI or a Queen of Wands game or both!
