What we deserve

All my life I have heard the statement "You get what you deserve." It's not true.

Here's what I think people -- all people -- deserve:

To be loved.
To be heard
To be honored for the contribution they make to community
To be compassionately called on their crap.

Here's what we actually get:

Manipulated through conditional love
Stereotyped and misunderstood
Gossiped about
Cursed at.

Here's the deal. We don't get what we deserve, but we do get what we generate. We are responsible for all that we get and how we react to it.
