Love is such a powerful emotion and attitude. Empathy arises for everyone. It is easy to stand in another's shoes, to see where another is coming from.

It raises hell with confrontational activism, though. ;)

It puts to the test any belief I have that some way of being and thinking is superior to another way of thinking or being. And I see that only that which threatens me personally gets labeled as wrong and that which aligns with my sense of personal freedom is labeled good.

But who am I to declare the right or wrong of something on such a personal and wholly subjective a measure as my own physical and emotional comfort?

If life is merely a conversation and nothing is wrong, what is possible?

I am a stand for love and peace, but that is a truth I created for myself. It has no more weight than any other ideology or theology. It is just as metaphysical as any other style of human interaction.

But I choose it because it does give me peace of mind. I choose to love for what it does for me. I need not align the world to that point of view, but I am convinced that a pretty large percentage of people would align with love and peace for the same reason.

What it gives to me, I declare that I love. Even in the face of dangers unknown. Even in the face of broken hearts. Even in the face of anger or indifference. I will love.

Love is just too damn much fun to turn down. :)
