How slow can you go.

Riff assures Brad and Janet that time is fleeting, but around me, right now, the entire universe is in slow motion. This would normally be really good. I can get a lot of stuff done while time is creeping by.

In this case, though, I am trapped in my head doing an expectations game like a kid waiting for Santa Claus. Riff is by far and away my favorite character. I identify with him in ways odd and extreme. In lots and lots of ways, he is who I once was. We just different ways to throw off the yoke. :)

Amy's opinion is that folks should be looking for three roles to concentrate on. I suspect this does not count rules and I'm sure it doesn't count Reverend. It seems like a good goal. The idea is that we would continue to refine our portrayal of those three.

Floor show or not, I think the three for me are Dr. Scott, Riff-Raff and Brad. In many ways these characters are alike -- arrogant beyond redemption. :) I know how to be arrogant. It will be really fun energy to play with.

If I take it over the top, I can put a stake in the heart of it. It won't creep out into my daily life. Doesn't creep out much anymore, but sometimes.

On a completely different theme, between the last paragraph and this, I went to Dog Beach in Ocean Beach with [livejournal.com profile] lizetta and Guenivere. We walked up and down the beach resting at stops decided by the dog. We had a good time.

I am going to take a nap this afternoon if I have to hit myself with an ax handle.

And I love you. Just because it is good to love someone when they are around. Someday they won't be and it will be too late to say, "I love you."
