two and three to go.
Last night was a pretty good show. Nice big audience. The handling of major props went off very well. Some minor problems with hand props, but mostly a problem with positioning.
The only way I can see to make sure that a player's hand props are where the player expects them is for the player to do the final positioning of the prop. Although, last night, my only real prop was moved just before I needed it.
Anyway, all that to say that I called for and got Riff for next week. I guess everyone wanted me to have it. There was no competition. On the other hand, it took two trips through the line up to fill the show. Well, nearly filled the show.
The other bald cast member offered to give me Riff hair before the show on Friday. I think it's 20 minutes of gluing on hair. It looks good. For take over, I might get rid of it, or push it up under my white Little Ol' Lady wig. Or not.
I thought of a great line to use when Squeak is Columbia but I was too late to get it in last night. Hope I remember it for the next time circumstances are right.
Two shows tonight and I'm destined to get only 3 hours sleep. Maybe a nap later this afternoon. I hope.
I'm playing Riff. Nicole is Magenta. She is well practiced in that part, so I'll have guidance when I get confused. I'm good, for sure, through creation scene cause I practiced last night. Then I went off to get ready for my part.
