It is exceptionally difficult to practice Riff without a Brad, Janet, Magenta and Frank to play off.
One thing I am noticing, though, is that I have to up -- way up -- my energy. There are few places where he is completely still for long periods of time. That is not a problem. But there are other places where he is in constant motion.
I am excited about getting this part down. Really excited. This Friday, I play Dr. Scott. That means I have the first half of the show to study Riff blocking. And YAY it's AMY B playing Riff.
Love to all and to all a good night -- midnight, that is. Friday, midnight to be exact.
(Damn, references to good literature, bad television and a vaudeville comedy skit.)
