Really grabbed the romantic in me.
Most of what was said during the service about love and relationships I was in full agreement with. Not surprising as the bride and bride chose the quotes and wrote most of the rest. Only a few times with folks in the wedding party spoke their own thoughts did I have a twinge. It seemed a bit awkward to have someone contradict the celebrants. Well, it's what people do.
It was a great ceremony. A great mix of at least four long standing traditions. The celebrants were as happy a wedding couple as I've every seen.
Family was there from both sides. Grandmas and very young nephews. Parents and cousins and aunts and uncles. And everyone thrilled for the union. Nobody, that I could tell, was giving a second thought to the sex of the participants.
I love the adaptability of human beings. :)
