My Ohana list

maatling posted a great article about ohana. It's Hawaiian. It means pretty much the same thing as I mean when I talk about intentional family.

He suggested we post our ohana list. So, here's a cut of mine. I don't keep a people database in my head, so there are people left off because they only come to mind in certain contexts. I've grouped them a bit only so that I might create some context. Some people aren't named individually but as part of a group. Each elipses indicates that I've lost the pointer into the array and I can't retrieve the names. Also, "sweetie" is a term for anyone I love (which, of courxe, is evryone).

SWEETIES OF SWEETIES: Folks who are very important to folks who are very important to me are on my list. (I'm more or less a anarchist-socialist, after all.)

I saw them a couple of years ago when I visited my daughter. Julie had quit her job (about the time I arrived) to be a full-time parent and to be home with David. They were really great at the parent thing. The baby was quite young. I've exchanged email with David twice about matters technical.

They are in my heart and mind often.

ohana -- cool, a real word for my "poly web".

i've been sadly amiss in seeing what all's been happening in the ranges of my "sweeties of sweeties" list, i see. lots of stuff happened around you since we last talked!

wanna tell me more, lynn? mostly interested in process/journey, as you know, not in definitional boxes for new people, *grin*. how did you get here from there, that sorta stuff. catching up, as it be (and i should do the same, though there is less to tell). piglet in alt.poly wrote a great post that made me realize just how long it's been with some people with whom i really want to be in much better contact.
