I hate it when this happens

I was running opensuse 12.3 on my workstation. I ran a update and that was the end of running X. I fussed with it for half a day and decided it would be a good time to upgrade to 13.1. Nope. It has now been a week. I have a working workstation again, but I have to recompile several of my applications because I no longer have the version of shared libraries they wanted.

I'm almost done. Apache and php5 aren't playing well together.

Sigh.

I really should find a better distribution. I really like suse, but every upgrade is a pain in the ass.
