Yeah, well. Really? Four Oscars?
I love Gene Hackman. But his character in this movie is little different from all the other bad guys he has played. I love watching him play bad guys, but ...
Too much slapstick; too little depth. Nothing remotely believable about Eastwood's character.
Still, I was only bored a couple of times. We gave it a three out of five.
I thought I had seen the movie, but I was remembering a completely different plot line. I admit, I had a bit of disappointment going on as I watched this one. A spent a bit of time googling for the other western, but never did find it. The closest to plot was The Outlaw Josey Wales" but that one is two old, I think, for the movie I'm trying to remember. Maybe not. I'm older than I think. :)
