Oh, Duh. Just figured this out.

A while ago, I read about a study that demonstrated that men get a bit stupid when they are around women. This has been known for a long, long time and the study suggests that no men are immune. So, I sitting here listing to Randy Newman sing about being stupid about a woman.

I was thinking about my youth and a few of the stupid things I did when I was attracted to some woman.
then I was thinking about how people react when they think someone else thinks they are stupid.

And the light went on. Misogyny is very likely a response to getting stupid around women.

As I was typing this, I realized that when I am attracted to a man, I don't get stupid (as far as I can tell, anyway.)
