We bought a Black and Decker coffee maker for work months ago and gave up on it pretty quickly. We bought a new coffee maker and use the B&D to heat water for tea and such. There seemed to way to pour from it without dribbling all over the counter.
That coffee maker made it's way to my house recently. Sister-in-law was making coffee in our coffee maker, but I didn't like the coffee as she made it, so I brought it home to make my own. Yesterday I discovered the secret of pouring from the decanter without making a mess on the counter.
The line that passes through the center of the spout and the center of the handle must be exactly vertical. If I am off even slightly, the liquid pour around the edges of the spout and down the body of the decanter.
Lousy design? Oh yes.
