Shell game

Economics is a religion rather than a science. The amount of money in the world far exceeds the amount of currency in circulation. Most of the money is merely a shell game. Keep everything moving and nobody will be able to follow the slight of hand. We must take it all on faith. Economics operates on pure faith. The value of the dollar rises and falls based on world's faith in its value.
