Some kinds of spam cause me to giggle.

1. Spam that pretends to be from a reputable source (banks, the fed. government, etc) but is filled with poor grammar and horrible spelling. How can that kind of spam ever be effective? Stupid spam clicked on by stupider people?

2. Spam that insists that I have won/inherited/earned some amount of money that must be direct deposited in my account. I think the latest of this kind is the scam pretends to be the IRS trying to deposit the economic stimulus check.

3. Spam that insists that it originated from me. There are several varieties based on who it is "from." It might be from my own mailer_daemon, or from the "administrative team," or from the hostmaster, webmaster or other official sounding title. What a wonderful phishing attack. Just a great scam of trying to get me to give up my passwords.

That last type is my favorite. I read each one. It's better than the funny papers.
