I start sentences with "I'm amazed that ..." or "I'm surprised that ..."

I've been listening for that to see what it is that I find so amazing or surprising. I wanted to know if I'm amazed or surprised by many, many things or the same few things over and over.

It's the same few things over and over. In fact, it is two things over and over.

A. The violent nature of human beings.
B. The preoccupied nature of human beings.

Almost always it is one of those two things about single individuals (including myself) or about groups of people.

This is clearly a case where I keep wanting "what is" to be some other way.

Why does M$ XP insist that I have a "Recorded TV" directory in my shared folder? Grrr.

Fund raising events for most causes are conducted primarily by people who have a personal stake in the cause. So it is with this appeal.

Stacey's brother-in-law, Jerry Storm, has Parkinson's. He recently underwent three two brain surgeries and two smaller procedures that sends electrical signals to his brain to limit the spurious signals that are the source of Parkinson's tremors. The surgery was a success, but, Parkinson's is progressive. This treatment will eventually be overwhelmed by the disease.

Join me in the Fighting Parkinson's Step by Step campaign by joining Team BrainStorm and walking 5K or making a contribution or both.
