Finally

I finally finished the upgrade of the phpBB2 forums at the CI Rocky Horror site.

I've made a number of changes to the original php code so I dare not allow the autopatch/upgrade run on it's own. That means I need to manually patch it.

Only a few bugs when I tried it out. Turns out, though, that the last upgrade "should" have done what this one is doing. I didn't know that, so there were a few changes I didn't make back then.

Oh well.

Now to go through the user list on the forums and delete the spam registrations.

I was going to delete the spam registrations by the simple expedient of directly accessing the database.

But something isn't right in the database 'cause there were more than 60 "not active" users and some of them are current cast and a few former cast.

So, I looked at "signs" like the list website.

All in all, there were just over 30 attempts to gain registration for the purposes of spamming my users.

sigh.

heat and not

It's ninety degrees and 40% humidity. I was a little surprised by the humidity number; it seems muggier. That, of course, is outside.

Inside, the house is pleasantly cool. However, the office vent blows directly on me and I'm getting chilled a bit too much.

It's good, though. It keeps me from sitting here 14 hours at a time.

The pool is a good compromise temperature of 80 degrees.
