cable tv and cable internet

My cable Internet has been flaky for three days. It comes and goes. Today, I opened all the access points and detached and reattached each wire on each splitter. We will see if it remains flaky.

It bothers me that for all the advance in communications equipment, wiring, and such, that we are stuck with an old technology for wiring houses. Old and unstable at the signal strengths we are dealing with. Just stick a damn fiber up to my house and .....
