Digging a hole

It's tough to watch someone digging a deep hole under their own feet. What makes it tough is the feeling of helplessness. I know, without a doubt, that anything I could offer would only look like a bigger shovel to the one digging. I've never watched someone so hell bent on self destruction.

It's going to be interesting to watch, difficult to be with, and harder to keep out of.

sigh.
