Okay then. Wednesday morning. 2.5 days to Riff and I feel like unwashed gym socks. My eyes are watery and itchy. My sinuses are killing me and my throat hurts.

If you are at all squeamish about body fluids, you might not want to read this.
You can do the TMI dance here. )
Tamara gave me some of her Chlor-trimeton. We'll see how that works today. It is just an antihistamine, though. It's a different one than the other's I've taken. I took one about 30 minutes ago. My eyes have stopped watering. Maybe they will work. I need a good decongestant, though. My sinuses are still painful.

In other news, if one adds just a bit too much syrup to one's milk before steaming, one get's a sugary honeycomb of foam that is some degree of chewy. At any rate, there is no missing that my morning latte tastes of maple. Now if I could just remember to NOT steam the milk with the syrup in it already.

I finished my taxes finally. I was putting it off because I was pretty sure, based on last year, that I was going to owe the Great State of California a couple of hundred dollars that I did not have. So I've been slowly saving it up since January.

My income distribution was different this year. (Read less) As it turns out, the US Treasury will be dumping nearly two hundred into my checking account sometime in the next couple of months and the state gets nothing. This is a good thing.

And finally, in the last bit of news for this entry. I am very, very excited at playing Riff this Friday. Time Warp came on at Show Tunes late Monday night. [livejournal.com profile] veggiebelle played magenta to my Riff. I got through it without screwing it up. This is a good thing. :) I will spend part of Friday reviewing and checking three or four details that have me confused. But all in all, it will be fabulous. Turns out [livejournal.com profile] pdi can clear for rules. This is good. It is the next thing I intend to clear for. Then on to Brad. I've talked to both [livejournal.com profile] cikevin and [livejournal.com profile] veggiebelle about training me for Brad. Oh dear, floor show. Is there an emoticon for terrified?

Love might not make the world go around, but it makes the trip worth taking.

Elvis Presley made a movie -- okay, he made several -- called GI Blues. There was one song from that movie that stays in my head like a wedgie. Didja Ever

Didja every have one of those days, boys?
Didja every have one of those days?
When nothing goes right from morning to night?
Didja every have one of those days?

It's a perky little ditty about life's little setbacks.

Well, the damn thing is running around in my head competing for space with Time Warp. I'm just glad they are different tempos.

That is all. That is enough. In fact, that is more than enough. It is too much.

As an aside. Do you ever wonder what is going on in someone's head when you read post after post after post by them in some forum or another and can find no connection between their response and the post they are responding to? In fact, there is one person posting in a forum I read with whom I can't even figure out what previous post she is responding to. And the words are English, but it looks more like sentences put together by a bot trying to get something passed a spam filter.

Must be a hidden meaning. Better bring in Homeland Security! Hmm. I wonder if this is George W. Bush posting under a pseudonym? Hmm.

Bah. Off to a modeling job. For the one of the same teachers as yesterday. I think I want a more comfortable pose this time. Either way, it's a cash job. Work today, get paid today.

Oh and I made my doctors appointment. I have to go in early tomorrow to get lab work done so he'll have the results by Monday.

Riff. Yes. I'm excited. No, I'm not getting a damn thing done thinking about it.

Oh. And I would like at least one cast member to say they are proud of me after I get through the show. It would be great if they play Riff or Mag. One is never too old to hear praise for a job undertaken and completed.

Michelle's wedding is Saturday at 10:45. I'll be at the workday training, then off to the wedding and a little bit of reception, then back to the workday. I'm so excited for her I get dizzy thinking about it. Two long standing dreams of hers are coming true. The romantic in me is very energized and a little envious.

Just a little, though. There's a feeling I want, but it isn't going to happen following any standard model of romantic entanglement. I get that feeling often enough, though. It's just the unreal, adolescent dream of Happy Ever After that gives me my envy moments.

The question, then, is why I identify more with Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella then Prince Charming? Except in the Beauty books, of course.

If life is an adventure, getting on a train is more important than figuring out which train to get on. There are always options to change trains along the way. Toot. Toot.

Love is magic, it grows bigger and stronger the more it used and one always has more of it when busily giving it away. I feel like having a little more right now, so here, have a heaping measure for yourself from me.

And darn it, I deserve it.

Maybe I'll give being high maintenance a try.
