A productive evening!
Created tcl packages of general procedures to handle PostgreSQL, MySQL and script debugging. All three packages use namespace features. This week, I will start the arduous task of debugging the packages. Once that is done, many of the scripts I have in the cue to write will be much easier to write.
I've had to learn a enough perl to troubleshoot and modify some existing scripts. One advantage perl has over tcl is the huge quantity of ready to go modules to do any thing one wants to do -- especially for dynamic web page creation. That being said, I still LOVE tcl and will continue to use it.
Got the backup server running again, more or less, but one of the raid disks is kaput. sigh. I don't like computers.
Now I'm going to practice my music. Whee. Then I'm going to bed.
