There was a general comfortableness about the body on the playa. Nudity was common and unremarkable. But more than that, the normally repressed attitude about bodily functions was far less repressed. Men and women openly peeing into reclamation tanks, for instance.
Life was casual for the most part. Some of the regular social games came to the playa, of course. Some people had no intention of letting go of any of it. But, the over all feeling was very much like I want in my world.
Life on the playa was lived mostly without shame. In fact, the normal social taboos stood out as odd rather than the norm.
I witnessed the best of HAI and the best of Landmark training at work in a city of 50,000. It is a look at the way life can be.
